SMS GupShup has raised USD 12 million in Series D venture financing round. With this new financing round, the total funding of SMS GupShup comes to $37 million. New Year’s Eve SMS Rates Remain the Same for Airtel and RCom

Airtel and Reliance Communications will not charge more for sending text messages on December 31. Airtel also announced they would maintain regular call and SMS tariffs on December 31, as subscribed to by the user. Vodafone and Aircel subscribers will end up paying Re 1 for every local message and Rs 1.50 for a national SMS. Tata DoCoMo will charge 50 paisa for local and national SMSes. Read full story »
