Nikon India launched another product named COOLPIX Zone in Kochi. The camera includes a compact COOLPIX camera and D-SLR. To promote the Nikon`s COOLPIX Zone brand, the company will take an extra retail plan of more than 1750 outlets stores and has planned to hire around 300 store promoters in the current financial year.
At present the company set more than 40 – D – SLR and COOLPIX Zone area in India and the states were these product are available are Coimbatore, Bangalore, Bhubneswar, Agra, Roorkee, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Vishakapatnam, Mumbai, Pune, Deharadun, Allahabad, Kolkotta, capital of India Delhi and now at Kerala.
The Nikon was established in 1917 as Japan Optical Industries. In 1932, the name Nikkor was adopted for the camera lenses. In 1948, “Nikon I” the first Nikon camera was released. In 1959, the Nikon F SLR 35mm camera was introduced, the company was renamed Nikon Corporation in 1988.
