The Indian mobile phone brand Lava owned XOLO is all set to launch its new phone the XOLO Play which features NVIDIA Tegra processor by July 2013. The price of the phone is yet to reveal, but the specifications say that the phone is made for gaming.
The phone will be running on Android 4.1.1 OS, which is powered by the 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor supported by NVIDIA Tegra chipset. The processor is assisted by 5th battery saver core processor. The Graphics of the phone is supported by the 12 core NVIDIA ULP GeForce GPU [Graphics Processing Unit], which clocks at 416 MHz.
The phone’s processor is supported by a 1 GB RAM. It has a 4 GB internal storage capacity, which is expandable up to 32 GB. The network options include HSPA+ 21 Mbps download & 5.76 Mbps upload.
XOLO Play sports a 4.7″ IPS with OGS [One Glass Solution] HD display, with 1280×720 pixels display resolution which gives 316 PPI pixel density to the images. The display supports 5 multi-touch points.
The phone homes an 8 Mega pixel sensor camera in the rear which has BIS sensor [Back Illuminated Sensor] and Flash. There’s a 2 Mega pixel camera in the front for video calling options. The camera has Auto focus and Digital Zoom features. In addition to these, the camera pack also features Scene detection & tuning, Low Light enhancement & Face recognition.
The phone has Standalone GPS, 2.0 HS USB connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. It has a micro USB slot and a 3.5 mm audio jack in the hardware section.
The 2000 mAh battery offers 9 hours talk time in 3G mode and 11 hours talk time in 2G mode. It has different standby periods in both 3G and 2G.
The phone offers a full HD [1080p] video playback. The phone has accelerometer, magnetometer, proximity and ambient light sensors.
The phone is designed for the ones who love to play high quality games in Android devices.
