Starfall is a free site that uses phonics to teach reading to children from preschool to second grade. It starts by introducing the alphabet, and then follows with copious quantities of animated nursery rhymes, storybooks, comics and other materials. It’s simple and straightforward, and not overly slick. It is perfect for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, special education, homeschool, and English language development (ELD, ELL, ESL). It is an educational alternative to other entertainment choices for children.
