MTNL launched mobile television ‘nexGTv‘ and voice-interactive-response(IVR) services ‘Vmotion‘ to its 2G and 3G customers in partnership with mobile-value-added services provider DigiVive. MTNL is the state-owned telecommunications service provider in the metro cities of Mumbai and New Delhi in India.
nexGTv will provide over 50 live TV channels ranging from entertainment, reality, news, religious to popular regional channels. It will also provide first-of-its-kind VOD (Video on demand) content. The service would be available on a daily weekly and monthly subscription on pay per view basis.
However, the charges for the Video IVR Solution – Vmotion – that combines voice and video, the subscription charges are fixed at Rs 30 per month, Rs 10 per week and Rs 3 per day with no video call charges.
MTNL CMD Mr Kuldip Singh said:

DigiVive said in a statement:
“nexGTv is a mobile TV service offering live TV channels and an exhaustive list of Video-On-Demand (VOD) content on mobile. This service is available for both 2G as well as 3G users with compatible handsets”.
