Information and Broadcasting Ministry has cleared all the bottlenecks and come April your cable operator or your telecom operator will be able to provide you the IPTV service which enables you to access interactive TV right on your computer screen. The technology will give you the option of pausing live TV and even time-shifted TV (watch your favorite program at your time convenience). IPTV will also offer you more than 300 films to choose from.
Mobile TV will also be launched soon. IBN says that the bids for license to provide the service will be invited from the second half of this year and the service itself could be made available in the latter part of 2008.
