Below detailed are the call related features of phones.
Call Forwarding
Call forwarding / Diverting is a network feature which is PROVIDED FREE OF COST. If your phone is unreachable/ out of service area, or you do not wish to receive calls, the incoming calls can be diverted to other phone numbers. This service is provided by default to all subscribers. However airtime charges on usage applies.
This facility can be used to:
- Divert all I/C voice calls unconditionally.
- Divert I/C Voice calls wherever your phone is unavailable /out of service area,busy, not reachable or not answered.
- Divert incoming fax /Data calls.
To activate these features NO NEED TO DIAL 114, but be in the coverage area and activate the call divert settings from your phone. After selecting any of the call divert options there will be a short delay, while the phone asks the network for the current settings. Also refer to your Mobile phone user guide for activating this facility on your phone.
Call Waiting
This features alerts the subscribers of another incoming call on his mobile while he is already in conversation. This facility allows the subscribers to take the second call keeping the first call on hold. Both these features are PROVIDED FREE OF COST and they are activated by default to all subscribers. NO NEED TO DIAL 118/119. However the air time charges on usage applies.
Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP)
Without answering the Mobile phone, you can identify your incoming caller’s number. With this feature you can avoid the inconvenient calls landing on your phone. This facility is provided free of cost. No activity is required to be done on your mobile phone as this facility is provided by the network. [source]
