Lenovo Miix 10 Convertible Windows Tablet with Detachable Keyboard

Lenovo launched Lenovo Miix 10, an affordable tablet with a PC processor. The Lenovo Miix can be attached to a “quick flip” keyboard to convert it to a full function laptop.

The processor is Intel Atom Processor Z2760 which can clock at 1.80 GHz speed with 1 MB cache. The  Operating System is Windows 8 32 OS. The graphics is controlled by Intel HD Graphics. It offers a 2 GB LP DDR2 RAM with 800 MHz clock speed.

The device has a 64 GB eMMC flash Hard Drive. The display is a 10.1″ HD LED multi-touch display which uses IPS technology, and offers 1366×768 pixels screen resolution and a widescreen ratio of 16:9. The display offers vivid colors and nearly 180-degree viewing angles.

The camera is a 1 MP HD, which is placed at the front. Lenovo offers motion control through the webcam. By using the cam as the input device, user can flip pages, rewind/forward the music, change volume etc, with a flick.

The optional detachable keyboard helps the user to switch between tablet and laptop. The module is called “quick flip” detachable folio case and has been integrated with AccuType keyboard.

Veriface™ Face Recognition Software is another attraction, which allows a user to make his face as password. The integrated webcam uses stored images of user’s face while logging in. It supports multiple users, allowing access for a group of persons.

It has inbuilt stereo speakers and Micro HDMI output, which allows easy connection to an HD TV or a monitor. Lenovo also offer a Cloud Storage, which helps user protect their important files and data, provides easy access to information and makes quick and convenient file-sharing.

The service offers automatic backup and data sync, while enabling access from multiple devices. Data is encrypted on transfer for an extra level of security. This is made possible with the help of Lenovo Cloud Storage by SugarSync.

For Security and Multimedia support, Lenovo had installed Lenovo® Companion, Lenovo Support, McAfee® Internet Security (Trial), Live TV, RaRa Metro, Zinio Metro and Amazon Kindle.

Lenovo also offers inbuilt internet solutions such as IE 10, eBay, Skype, Microsoft Office 2013 (Trial), Evernote and Nitro Pro. For connectivity, Lenovo had integrated WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth® 4.0 and optional 3G.

The connection slots and ports includes Micro USB 2.0, Micro SD card reader, 2-in-1 audio jack with headphone and mic, Micro-HDMI and optional 3G micro SIM card port.

The battery used is a 6800 mAh, 2 Cell Li-Polymer battery which can last up to 10 hours. The device may cost around Rs. 34,000 in India.
