DRONA and B-Training – Training Solution Mobile Apps

Deltecs InfoTech provides enterprise learning solutions to corporates. Its flagship product DRONA launched in mid 2009 caters to the learning & training needs of the distributed work force of any organisation. Drona is a mobile authoring tool which enables corporates to create and edit their own training module. It is recipient of Handheld Learning Awards 2009, UK for Innovation in Business & Training.

The HR departments of companies use Drona to create and publish training modules. Once the modules are published , employees can access these modules on the Drona application ported on their mobile phones. The big advantage of such an application is that new applications can be created on the fly without any change in the underlying technology.

The revenue model is on a Software as a Service (Saas) model where corporates pay per employee per month.

Deltecs tied up with Career Builder and subsequently with Tata Mc-Graw-Hill, providing applications which gave students training material which included assessments and tests that could be all completed on the mobile phone.

Deltecs InfoTech also have a Blackberry Video Casting solution. BlackBerry based training (B-Training) solution is specially designed to suit the training needs of high profile executives of corporates. Most of the senior level management employees are given BlackBerry phones to be constantly in touch with their colleagues. The B-learning/training tool is an attempt to transform BlackBerry phones into classrooms on the move, offering information on demand via text, info-graphics, video, audio, tests etc.

B-Training is the art of using mobile technologies to enhance the learning experience. This concept of training marks a turning point in the online training industry, which was so far limited to either Web-based or virtual classrooms.

This plug-in helps organisations create video training applications and distribute it within the Blackberry enterprise server platform such that users can be trained using video and text.

The most important feature which defines our B-Training is mobility that enables ‘information on demand’, which is the ability to access information wherever you are and whenever you want. B-training provides personal learning on the move. With increasing competition, businesses are seeking for ways to win the rat race by disseminating information accurately at a faster pace. Hence saving time and cost have become top concerns.
