MultiMi is free software that allows you to browse multiple services from a single browser-like window, it even does its best to merge them together where possible, so select Calendar and you’ll get an aggregate of your Google and Facebook calendars in one spot.
Once linked to a supported service Google, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and just about any email account are supported for example – you can get an overall view of what’s happening now via the Home tab, or select another tab for a more specialized view, such as Social, Events or Messages. You can even browse the web and view documents, photos and other media – both online via supported services that include YouTube, Picasa, Flickr and Box.net or on your computer – through MultiMi too.
The program bends over backwards to be as accommodating as possible. For example, click on Connections to view people around you, and MultiMi will attempt to provide an overview of your communications with that person in all of the supported mediums. Select a post with a link in it and MultiMi will display a quick preview of the site below the post itself.
Security is important, which is why MultiMi stresses that all of your login information is stored locally rather than in the cloud. It also features AVG’s LinkScanner, which aims to protect you against any malicious links you might encounter.
