Android and Windows Phone to Rule, 65% Market Share by 2015

According to IDC, Android and Windows Phone will rule the smartphone market in the near future.

IDC reports that more than 450 million smartphones will ship in 2011. Android will account for 39.5%, followed by Symbian 20.9%, Apple iOS platform 15.7%, RIM’s BlackBerry 14.9% and Windows Phone 7 / Windows Mobile 5.5 percent market share in 2011.

By 2015, Android will have 45.4% market share, followed by Microsoft Windows Phone platform with 20.9%, Apple iOS  15.3% and BlackBerry platform 13.7 percent of the smartphone market. [source]
