South Korean Electronics manufacturer Samsung had launched its latest tablet variants in India, under the flagship Galaxy series, named Galaxy Tab 3. Samsung launched 3 different versions of Galaxy Tab 3, two of them (Galaxy Tab 3 311) having 8″ screen and one (Galaxy Tab 3 211) having 7″ screen. The tablets are priced between Rs 17,745 and Rs 25,725. One of the Galaxy Tab 3 311 (8″) is a WiFi only model, priced at Rs 21,945.
According to company, the tabs offer better hand grip and thinner bezel. Galaxy Tab 3 311 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and is powered by Exynos 4412 dual-core CPU which is clocked at 1.5GHz. It also has 1.5GB of RAM and 16 GB ROM. While the Galaxy Tab 3 211 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz Marvell CPU. It has 1GB of RAM and 8/16 GB ROM. Both the tablet’s memory is expandable up to 64 GB using microSD.
The Galaxy Tab 3 311 has an 8″ TFT display with 16 M colors and having a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixel with 189 ppi pixel density. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab 3 211 offer a 7″ display with 16 M colors and having a screen resolution of 1024×600 pixels only, with a pixel density of 169 ppi.
The Galaxy Tab 3 211 has a 3 MP camera on the rear while the Galaxy Tab 3 311 has a higher resolution 5 MP camera with autofocus. Both tabs have 1.3 MP camera in the front.
The Galaxy Tab 3 211 and the Galaxy Tab 3 311 can both be used to make phone calls as well as both support 3G and WiFi connectivity. Both tablets has Accelerometer, Geo-magnetic, Light and Proximity Sensors. Also they have AGPS and GLONASS support for navigation.
The Galaxy Tab 3 211 has a 4000 mAh battery which offers 20 hours talk time, whereas the Galaxy Tab 3 311 has a 4450 mAh battery, which offer 24 hours talk time. The tablets can be bought online via Samsung e-store.
