BSNL Mobile Money Transfer Services Coming Soon

BSNL plans to launch a mobile banking platform which will help mobile subscribers to send money orders electronically through SMS. The SMS by the sender will be encashable at all post offices. In order to send money, go to the nearest post office and transfer the money by way of an SMS. The SMS will contain a unique code. The person who receives this SMS real time, can go to his nearest post office and collect the money by showing the code. You can now pay your Tata DoCoMo mobile bills by simply sending an SMS using an ItzCash card. Tata DoCoMo has entered into an agreement with ItzCash Card to have the mobile bill payments for the Tata DoCoMo consumers. Amazon launched “Amazon Mobile Payments Service (Amazon MPS)”, which enables existing Amazon customers to use the payment and shipping information in their Amazon.com accounts to make purchases from their mobile devices. Future of Mobile Payment and Mobile Phone Near-Field Communication

A survey by Forrester Research found that 15 percent of Japanese mobile phone users make payments and purchase products in stores with their phones, reports CNN. Only 3 percent of people in North America are expected to conduct mobile payments in 2012. Analysts say that within five years, mobile phones in the United States will be able to make electronic payments, open doors, access subways, clip coupons and possibly act as another form of identification. These futuristic uses for phones are becoming reality in countries like South Korea and Japan, which typically are ahead of the United States in mobile technology. Read full story »
