Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited [BSNL] hiked the Tariffs of their existing prepaid mobile plans. According to the official notice issued by BSNL, all updated Tariffs will come to effect from 1st of August, 2013. The updated Tariffs are given below.
Mithram and 2G Super Prepaid Plan
“Mithram” plan for 2G & 3G now offers 2400 sec BSNL to BSNL calls and 500 BSNL to BSNL SMS, FREE of charge for 30 days for a recharge of Rs 49. The plan has 6 months validity. To get this pan, recharge Rs 49 or SMS PV49 to 53733.
The Local and STD call rates are fixed at 1.1 paise/sec for BSNL to BSNL and 1.3 paise/sec for BSNL to other networks. The call rates to 5 FFE (Friends and Family) numbers [1 BSNL & 4 Any network] are fixed at 20 paise/Min to BSNL and 40 paise/Min to others.
The SMS rates are 60 paise to local BSNL, 70 paise to Other local and 80 paise to all national SMS.
Video call rates are fixed at Rs 1/min for local & STD BSNL and Rs 1.5/min for local & STD others.
While at roaming, users have to pay 1.2 paise/sec to all local & BSNL calls, 1.4 paise/sec to all other outgoing calls and 1.2 paise/sec for incoming calls.
A user can recharge with Rs 48 for 2G Super Plan which shares almost similar features with Mithram plan, except in the free calls and SMS. It offers 1800 free call secs, 200 free SMS [all BSNL to BSNL only] and 200 MB of data. To get this pan, recharge Rs 48 or SMS PV48 to 53733.
Pay per Second Prepaid Plan
“Pay/Second” is available for both 2G & 3G calls, which now offers 1200 sec BSNL to BSNL and 600 sec BSNL to other calls, FREE of charge for initial 30 days for a recharge of Rs 42. The plan has 6 months validity.
The Local and STD call rates are fixed at 1.2 paise/sec for BSNL to BSNL and 1.5 paise/sec for BSNL to other networks. The call rates to 2 FFE (Friends and Family) BSNL numbers in Kerala is fixed at 50 paise/Min.
The SMS rates are 80 paise for local SMS and Rs 1.2 for national SMS. Video call rates are fixed at 4 paise/sec. While at roaming, users have to pay Rs 1 for local outgoing calls, Rs 1.5 for national outgoing calls and 75 paise/Min for incoming calls.

Pay per Minute Prepaid Plan
The “Pay/Minute” 2G & 3G plan can be recharged with Rs 39, which offers 20 Min BSNL calls and 10 Min other calls for free, for the first month of recharge. This plan also has 6 months validity, in which the call rates are fixed at 60 paise/Min for calls to BSNL and 70 paise/Min for calls to other networks, for both STD and local calls. Also the video call rates is fixed at Rs 2/Min. Rest is similar to Pay/Second plan. To get this pan, recharge Rs 39 or SMS PV39 to 53733.
General Prepaid Plan
This is a 2G & 3G plan too, which now offers 75 Min BSNL to BSNL & 75 Min BSNL to Other calls, 50 local SMS calls and 55 MB Data, FREE of charge with a validity period of 30 days for a recharge of Rs 171. The plan has 6 months validity. The Local and STD call rates are fixed at 60 paise/Min for BSNL to BSNL, 70 paise/Min for BSNL to other and 90 paise/Min for other landlines. The call rates to 2 FFE (Friends and Family) BSNL numbers in Kerala is fixed at 40 paise/Min. The SMS rates are 60 paise to local BSNL, 70 paise to Other local & National BSNL and 80 paise to all other national SMS. Video call rates are fixed at Rs 2/Min. Student Special
This is a 2G & 3G plan like other plans, which now offers 45 Min BSNL to BSNL & 45 Min BSNL to Other calls, 40 local SMS calls and 45 MB Data, FREE of charge with a validity period of 30 days for a recharge of Rs 97. The plan has 6 months validity. The Local and STD call rates are fixed at 50 paise/Min for BSNL to BSNL, 70 paise/Min for BSNL to other [80 paise/Min for STD] and 90 paise/Min for other landlines. The call rates to 5 FFE (Friends and Family) [3 BSNL+2 Others] numbers in Kerala is fixed at 15 paise/Min [BSNL] and 35 paise/Min [Others]. The SMS rates are 5 paise to local BSNL, 15 paise to Other local, 50 paise to National BSNL and 60 paise to all other national SMS. Video call rates are fixed at Rs 2/Min. Life Time
This is a 2G & 3G plan like other plans, which now offers 20 Min BSNL to BSNL and 10 Min BSNL to Other calls FREE of charge with a validity period of 30 days for a recharge of Rs 32. The plan has 6 months validity and the user must recharge for Rs 200 during the plan’s validity period. The Local call rates are fixed at 90 paise/Min for BSNL to BSNL & Rs 1/Min for BSNL to other calls. While the STD call rates are fixed at Rs 1.2/Min for BSNL to BSNL & Rs 1.5/Min for BSNL to other calls. The call rates to 2 FFE (Friends and Family) BSNL numbers in Kerala is fixed at 70 paise/Min. The SMS rates are 80 paise to local and Rs 1.2 to all national SMS. Video call rates are fixed at Rs 2/Min. The roaming charges are similar to “Pay/Second” plan. This is 3G only plan, which now offers 1000 sec BSNL to BSNL, 1000 sec BSNL video calls, 100 SMS to BSNL and 50 MB data FREE of charge with a validity period of 30 days for a recharge of Rs 54. The plan has 6 months validity. The Local & STD call rates are fixed at 1.2 paise/sec. The call rates to 5 FFE (Friends and Family) BSNL numbers in Kerala is fixed at 40 paise/Min. The SMS rates are 60 paise to all local and national SMS. Video call rates are fixed at 70 paise/Min for BSNL and Rs 1/Min for others. PYARI JODI
This is a 2G & 3G plan like other plans, which now offers 2500 sec BSNL to BSNL & 2500 sec BSNL to Other calls FREE of charge with a validity period of 30 days for a recharge of Rs 73. The plan has 6 months validity. The Local and STD call rates are fixed at 1.2 paise/sec for BSNL to BSNL, 1.5 paise/sec for BSNL to other and 1.8 paise/sec for other landlines. The call rates to 2 FFE (Friends and Family) BSNL numbers in Kerala is fixed at 40 paise/Min. FREE ROAMING [Except MTNL]
This is a 2G & 3G plan like other plans, which now offers 4500 sec BSNL to BSNL & 4500 sec BSNL to Other calls, 50 MB data and 50 local SMS, FREE of charge with a validity period of 30 days for a recharge of Rs 199. The plan has 6 months validity. The Local and STD call rates are fixed at 1.2 paise/sec for BSNL to BSNL, 1.5 paise/sec for BSNL to other. The call rates to 2 FFE (Friends and Family) BSNL numbers in Kerala is fixed at 40 paise/Min. The SMS rates are 60 paise to local BSNL, 70 paise to Other local & National BSNL and 80 paise to all other national SMS. Video call rates are fixed at 4 paise/sec. The roaming charges are similar to “Pay/Second” plan, excluding the incoming charges. Incoming calls at roaming is free in this plan.
PRAVASI
This is a 2G & 3G plan like other plans, which now offers 12000 sec BSNL to BSNL & 2400 sec BSNL to Other calls, 50 MB data and 1000 SMS to BSNL at STV 24 and STV 26, FREE of charge with a validity period of 30 days for a recharge of Rs 179. The plan has 1 year validity. The Local and STD call rates are fixed at 1 paise/sec for BSNL to BSNL, 1.2 paise/sec for BSNL to other. The call rates to 3 FFE (Friends and Family) BSNL numbers [2 local+1 STD] in Kerala are fixed at 30 paise/Min for local and 40 paise/Min for STD. The SMS rates are 50 paise to local and 60 paise to all national SMS. Video call rates are fixed at 2 paise/sec for BSNL and 3 paise/sec for other networks. The roaming charges are similar to “Pay/Second” plan, except the incoming charges. The incoming charges while roaming are fixed at Rs 1/Min.
