Toshiba India introduced AC100 netbook, its first Android platform mobile internet device (MID). The Toshiba AC100 is a netbook with an 1GHz, ARM Nvidia Tegra mobile processor that runs Android 2.1 operating system. It has a 10.1 inch screen (1024×600 resolution) with the Toshiba Clear SuperView technology, LED backlighting, full-size keyboard and touchpad. It has 512MB DDR2 RAM and supports 8GB flash storage.
The Toshiba AC100 Android netbook is priced at 18,721 Indian Rupees. It comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
The Toshiba AC100 supports Wi-Fi WLAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, USB 2.0, Mini USB, SD & MMC Card Reader, HDMI ports and a 1.3MP webcam with microphone.
The Android 2.1 OS allows switchable desktop based on your location. The AC100 also comes with a Toshiba Home Menu and a customizble desktop with widgets – with shortcuts. The device boasts instant-on capabilities. It offers up to 7-day standby battery life and up to 8-hour when in use.
