Indian Handset Brands Grab 14% Mobile Market Share

Indian mobile-handset brands strengthened their presence in the domestic handset market in 2009-10, adding up to 14% market share by revenue, according to the V&D100 Indian Telecom Survey conducted by CyberMedia telecom journal Voice&Data. IT Job Satisfaction Goes Down to All-Time Low, Survey Says

A job satisfaction survey by the Corporate Executive Board found that the number of dissatisfied workers continues to increase in IT industry. The survey found that the willingness of IT employees to exert high levels of discretionary effort has gone down to its lowest levels. The recession and its accompanying reorganizations and layoffs have been corrosive to IT employee job satisfaction. Over a third were planning to change jobs once the job market improves. Sexting Among Teens Survey Results and Parents’ Role

Pew Internet of the United States has conducted a nationally representative survey of ages 12-17. According to the survey report, 4% of all cell-owning teens of ages 12-17 report sending a sexually suggestive nude or nearly-nude photo or video of themselves to someone else. Girls and boys are equally as likely to have sent a suggestive picture to another person. 15% of those ages 12-17 have received a sexually suggestive nude or nearly nude photo or video of someone they know on their cell phone. 0% of teens have a cell phone that someone else, usually a parent, pays for, 19% pay part of the costs and 10% pay all of the costs of their cell phone.
