  15. yesterday 19-june-2012, i buy a tata docomo sim card, (number 8089690043) then i recharge i have Rs 99 in my account, after 6 hours i received a message its says “your buddy chat is renewed at Rs 30, i didn’t activate any buddy service, normally the other service providers send a message like your service will renew within 3 days and you have to charge 30rs. this is really cheating, then i try to call customer service numbers 121, 198, 9037012345, 04846660199,04846660500,1800255555, 18602665555 (this number goes to banglore), 04846660101, i wait around 40 minutes but nobody answer my call, i didn’t get any information regarding my problem. some times i try to connect customer care they says you don’t have sufficient balance to talk with customer care, that time i have Rs 68 in my account. please anyone suggest me that how can i contact customer care, or where i can post my complaint ?

  16. My friend(mob no: 9035485776) made a roaming free pack on june 18th. Even now this pack is not activated. She was very frustrated with docomo, but din wanna port the number coz of this roaming free plan. So if this service doesn work, i guess there is no pont in stayin in docomo network unless this problem is solved and she gets back the money she spent while roaming

    Yesterday my balance got deducted by rs. 15 for call me tunes. Already for this call me tunes which got activated for 180 days, last month my balance got deducted by Rs. 120.
    Can you please look into this matter, I didn’t activated in both scenario but still my balance got deducted.
    I tried to call 121 but nothing happened.
    Please help me, I have already lost 120 + 15 = Rs 135 within last 30 days.
    On the first place if call me tunes got activated for a80 days and my balance was deducted by rs. 120 then why again ????

    I even tried to deactivate at that time,but no response came.
    So I carried on.But at least now take some action.

    I am Samruddhi, posting a complain on behalf of my mother’s TATA DOCOMO number 9039246705(being in use for about an year).

    An unnecessary service of ‘songbook’ has been activated to this number(not activated by the user), and Rs. 30 has been deducted.
    The subscription message consists of another number 155223 to be called for deactivating the service, but when called it says there is no such service activated on the number.

    Tried to call 121 as well but could not contact the customer care executive as it was all pre recorded text playing, tried to call nodal desk as well but none of the numbers were in service.
    Could you kindly let me know as how could these unnecessary services be deactivated and occurrence of the same could be avoided in future.

    This is the 7th time that similar instance has occurred, and i found it to be the height of mismanagement from the telecom services.
    I wonder how such large telecom companies become so careless in serving their customers.

    I would like the refund of these unnecessary subscription charges and a confirmation from TATA DOCOMO of seeking customer’s consent before activating any such services to the number.

But they returned the instrument saying that technician will come to your house and do the needful.Eventhough the technician visited the house nothing happened till date.There is no disply seen in the instrument and it is very difficult to use the instrument.Hence I request you to provide a new instrument or close the connection immediately.TATA has a goodwill in Indian minds created by the GOOD TATAS .     Myself Bidhovan C.Babu ,I am and NRI and having a connection of TATA docomo # 8089271673 ,I might turn Around to be one of the prolific customer of yours as I make calls worth of more than Rs:-3000 a month . But it very hard and unfortunate to say that it is one of the” Worst” services I have ever experience ever since I have started using cellphone .
    First of all it is very hard to get any of your representative online, I even do not to get to speak to anybody even after trying for 2 days, You guys even don’t bother to put me on hold until the representatives come ,It says all of our representative are busy , please send an e-mail to so and so id then they cut the phone ,I have never experience such Irresponsible attitude from any of the service provider so far. more over even if I follow your instruction they say it’s a wrong entry ( for eg : – to speak to our customer care executive press 9 , but after pressing the same astonishingly it says that It is a wrong entry.
    Apart from that I had to activate caller tune on to my cell phone but after activating it I have learned that it is nothing but a stage of your advertisement on our cost . By the time the song started playing we must have been picked up the phone, then I Called up your customer care executive she said it not possible to remove the ad of yours, whereas the other service provider of mine such as Idea managed to do so . Getting disappointed by this comment Immediately I went on to de activate the same, But after some days when I spoke to one of your other rep Mr.Ananad said that it is very much possible to de activate your advertisement ,and he promise me to do so within 3 hour , then Immediately I went on to activate the song again , but after 2 days I have learned that it is the same old story happening again No add is been removed !! from there on for the past two days I have been trying to get through one of your representative ,fortunately I managed to speak to one gentleman after 2 days because of the so called TATA Docomo’s highness and mercy ,But to my disappointment he said its not possible ,I was making my stand to him by saying that It is very much promised by Mr.Anand one of your representative ,But unfortunately he was very adamant and his last word was Sorry sir its not possible .
    I am very much disappointed and humiliated and cannot fathom these kind of ridiculous injustice can happen in a democracy like India .After all why should I pay from my pocket to do your advertisement , if anyone wants called tune they must apply for it ,and why you are forcefully slamming me something which I don’t require in my connection .
    Here I Seek justice from your side sir, I might wait for two more days to get the advertisement of yours to be dumbed from my caller tune, Else I have no other choice but to discard with your connection.

      This is pure cheating.I asked the person why you are giving this as free,why no charges.He told only for selected customers.

      If this is the way Docomo is going to promote its offer so that the person who are not using such services uses them.Then I realy think that I should change my operator.

    I have a mobile postpaid number 09219569700 which is working as a docomo number now. Prior it was a CDMA No. Since almost a year my number was being charged with an internet pack of Rs 94 without my choice and every time i had to go to the tata office and get it disconnected get the amt. deducted as a waiver and pay the balance. After being frustrated of the services and and showing of incapability of the employees there to solve the problem i moved to docomo.
    Before the day making the final payment i met at mzn. office Mr rohit Sharma being posted at meerut and raised the issue to him who calculated the waiver to Rs 310/-approx(94+94+50+50+taxes) and instructed the staff there to mail him the waiver and get the balance deposited. On being assured i deposited the balance Rs 400/- as full and final payment.
    Thereafter i recd. a msg. claiming the balance amt. Then i contacted the local office who talked to Mr Rohit in my presence and reminded him the issue and i was assured again that i will not recieve further call anymore.
    Thereafter my number was disconnected in lieu of the balance payment without a fault on my part. The disconnection led me to some medical problems on the part of my spouse as she could not conversate me. I contacted the tata office then and they let me to talk to Mr Rohit and conversate the problem personally. He then again apologized to me and assured for active result within 12 hrs. and he got my phone restarted leaving the main issue pending. I have reminded Mr Rohit & the localtata authorities a plenty of times but of no use.
    Sir every data with regard to my number is available to u electronically and i am being tortured from the services of tata and its employees services till today frustrated to which i have opted to mail u and help me out before taking any legal action as i find the matter smaller for involving the FORUM. I m ready to pay any amount if found balance on my part but i am irritated of the calls and the msgs. for the balance payment which can be stopped by a strict action on ur part.
    I think that the matter had been conversated to u and being a responsible person, I expect a positive response from ur side at the earliest.

  71. I have been using your service from past 3 years. But now a days it has become very horrible. Automatically balance has been debited from my account without using internet. Your customer care is not able to give any satisfied answer. Whenever I am asking they used to tell you are using the internet for which deduction has been made. Every time I used to tell them that I am not using the internet but balance has been deducted from my account, please check but inspite of sort out the problem they used to tell that deductions has been made against internet usage.
    They must understand if I donot have the problem why should I waste my and others time. Absolutely no problem before 2 months . This problem started from last 2 months. Atleast I have lost 100 rupees without using internet. So, please look into the matter and reply. Else I will switch over to some other service provider.

  88. My experiences with Tata Docomo mobile is the most disappointing ever. Even when I wanted to change over to another operator ( thro NPT), I did not get any co-operation despite waiting for months together. I have applied for NPT atleast 4 times till date. But unfortunately other service providers are ready to give me their connection instantly with a new number but when it comes to changing from docomo to any other service provider, I have drawn a blank. I am therefore forced to mail this as docomo people have now gone a step further invalidating my SIM without assigning any reasons nor intimating me.
    In the light of these developments, could any right thinking person advise me on the course of action. If need be whether I should take up the matter at a higher level.
    The very fact that my earlier comment on the poor service rendered by Tata Docomo has been deliberately removed has made me more determined to keep on mailing my woes with Tata Docomo. My number 9029076819.

    When ever i try to call to any no. i have to switch off and have to switch on my mobile and after doing that i can call nor receive calls for only 5 min and after that if i try to call i get a message Error in connection i need that to be rectified soon and one of ur customer care representative said to keep in manual and to said to select IND 025 which is not at all being shown in that menu what to do.. do is as soon as possible i am facing this problem since one year.

    I was charged Rs.0.01 for a 2 seconds till June last week , but now it is charges Rs.0.01 for 1 second , Why ?

    I have contacted your 121 and talked to your person He told me that I was not availing this facility as per his record (which he told he has of 30th June Only) . Even He could not tell me that How I was getting Half paisa per second call.

    I must tell you that I am using this number from more than 12 months , was having no problems till now , but it seems that TATA is also doing something which may not be called fare as , I have switched over to TATA Docomo just due to these kind of activities.

    Please look into the matter and advise me accordingly.

    It has been quite a while, numerous calls, emails & messages through the Star websites, but all in vain, requesting for my number to be removed from their list (I keep getting movie & serial updates from TD-Star).
    After partaking in an online contest on Star Movies (which I now realize was a very very very big mistake), I started getting these messages from Star through the TD operator. Very surprisingly, my emails, messages and calls were in vain, as not only has my problem not been resolved, but I’ve not even as much as got a single reply. This is something very unexpected from a company like Star – highly unprofessional and unethical.

    Trying to access internet from my laptop via tata docomo internet access.
    I always gets the below error
    Error 734 : The PPP link control protocol was terminated on my pc, pls find attachemnt for more details. And I get “Subscribe for packet data” on my mobile.

    I got setting as SMS and saved them to my mobile, but still no use. I was able to access internet if I connect form other service provider.

    I got frustrated call the customer care from past two days, I haven’t got proper responce and My issue was still open. Or Please prove the esclation matrix, so that I can approch the correct contact person

  137. My Mother has a Tata Docomo prepaid connection, number is 8050739605.

    On Friday the 18th of Feb, she got a call from the Customer Care about some “Caller-Tune” offer. My mom did not say anything and disconnected the call as she was not interested in the offer. However, after a few mins she gets an SMS from Tata Docomo which says Rs. 120 have been deducted from her balance for subscription to caller tunes.

    This is sheer display of unprofessional attitude from Tata Docomo. I want the Rs. 120 to be refunded else matter will be escalated to appropriate forums.

    They reverted back saying the complaint will be addressed by Mar 1, but till date nothing has happened. Is this the way Tata Docomo generates revenue?

  138. have applied for my Post Paid connection on 24th feb and still no update has been provided.
    I received a call from Tatadocomo on 25th Feb where the lady told me what my Mobile number will be . As I was riding my bike i told here to confirm the number through email. I did not received any details through emails or any other means.
    Today when I called the customer care they told me that without the Mobile number they cannot provided any update.

    Now the question here if the Mobile number is such a cruial information for TataDocom ,then how can be this information be provided verbally over phone without a email or SMS to confirm the same.

    Other Network provide you the Mobile at the time of applying the connection and they have reference number which can be use to keep the track of your postconnection status.

    Here with TataDocom I have landed in such a situation that neither the customer care is trying to help me out nor I am not able to contact the number from which I received the call previously (they are disconnect the call whenever i am calling them).

    I was told by the Marketing and Sale Team that my connection will be activated in 24 hours. The Verification has been also completed on 26thFeb and it has been more than 72 hours but a update/reason has been not provided for the delay.

    Interesting part is this after taking confirmation from Kumar , Santosh & activation team about Gulf pack of Rs.40 on my no. has not been activated till date where I suppose to get call rates of gulf @ Rs.7.20 instead of the normal call Rate

When I called up to the customer care I come to know due to non submit of document the connection is not stated. I went to docomo hub Park Street on 11/02/11 with the relevant document there I submitted voter card, photo proof but still docomo registration failed. Please do the needful so that I can make call at the earliest. Hope you will take this matter as serious.

  158. I have a tata docomo connection with the cell no.9029851358. On 31st Jan 2011, I had a push message with some link. After clicking on the same link Portfolio Manager was activated on my account with the charge of Rs. 10 for 7 days. It is okay for that it was my mistake. But, today morning I had received a message stating that it will be renewed within 48 hours again for next 7 days for Rs. 10 more. And If I don’t want to continue, I had to send message “STOP” to 121. I had sent 3 times the “STOP” message to 121. But, it was replying that there is no DND activated on your phone. I also not able to make a call to 121. So, I had contacted customer care executive thru another tata docomo no. (8087129737). And requested to deactivate the Portfolio Manager service. Your customer care executive has taken some times to check it up and confirm that it will be deactivated and if any charges are deducted from account will be credited.

    But, I am sorry to inform that, I just received a message from “Portfolio” that your Portfolio Manager subscription has been renewed. You have been charged Rs. 10 for 7 days.

    So, you are requested to unsubscribe the same and give me credit of Rs. 10 (I am asking for only renewal amount).

    Please do needful at the earliest.

  162. deducted my 30 rupees and TATA DOCOMO activated shero shayari service on my number without prior informing me.
    On complaing to TATA Gallery they first accepted my complaint and agreed regarding deduction of my money and assured me of refund within 48 hours.
    after 72 hours of complaint when i again went to TATA Gallery in princess street mumbai 2, the tata employee told me that they cannot refund my money back. Being pissed off and agitated i insisted on my money back, TATA employee replied to me that I am welcome to file a case against them in consumer court regarding this matter, but money will not be refunded.

    This is happens with educated people what about those people who not literate

    My no is 09039670225. on Feb 2 , I activated an STV 18 Manually from my phone . When i was requesting for activation my call was failing so i redialed the no 4-5 times.When again every time my call failed , I stopped .After 10 mins 36 rupees has been deducted from my account owing to repeated activation of STV 18. I talked to customer care and got my 18 rupees refunded. But as soon as it refunded ,there was again repeated deduction of 36 rupees .So in nutshell i got a loss of 36 rupees.

    I made a complaint in customer care owing to refund of and complaint id was GBL097396052 .While making this complaint i have been asked to wait till 7 Feb and today the has been closed without proper resolution and action.

    I consider it is supposed to be an offence towards consumer rights.
    Please resolve this problem as soon as possible.

    One week before ur tata docomo service providers called me on 13th JAN 2011 and asked for a request for conversion of prepaid plan to post paid plan.. for which i agreed.
    One of ur representative had called and come to my place and got my documents.
    Two hours later another tata docomo service person( DEBASMITA) gave me a call for confirmation and verification regarding the same. She assured that the activation of my post paid will be done within 3 days.
    But its been 16 days nothing had been done and for the last 3 days my pre paid has been already inactivated by ur service providers and neither the post paid has been activated. Its only displaying INVALID SIM .Iam facing a tremendous communication problems now.
    In regard to his issue i went to ur DOCOMO customer care outlet at saheed nagar in Bhubaneswar . I said the story of my conversion from Prepaid to Postpaid n after lisytening she checked my status and said my No. has not been converted to Postpaid its status is still Prepaid. She suggested me to apply for a new SIM and charged me Rs.49/-. Then after its showing the same INVALID SIM. Then she suggested me to talk with ur another representative (Miss. Shrima) (Conversation time – 4:30 pm dated 27 Jan 2011) She talked with someone & then one of ur representative came to my house with a new postpaid SIM. But am sorry to say that was also in vain…..the same INVALID SIM.
    I must say neither ur service providers nor ur customer care people are groomed or trained to handle any of ur issues.. This shows the standard of ur company- PATHETIC.
    Its is sad to find such a company who advertise themselves world wide through various media, recruits people of low standard, low IQ and non-competent and unqualified people for work hence proving themselves most as FAKE and PSEUDO, fooling people around the country.
    I request to please look in to my matter and activate either my prepaid or post paid account at the earliest pls.

  175. I’m yet another frustrated Tata Docomo customer. Apparently, the company is on a spree to block all outgoing calls. It happened with a colleague of mine and it happened with me too. After having submitted my documents (passport photocopy + Photo), Tata Docomo conveniently blocked all outgoing calls from my number yesterday. This was completely unreasonable and it shows a huge gap in how Tata Docomo projects itself as a company, and what it actually is.

    If this is the kind of service Docomo provides in a major city like Bangalore, I can only imagine how poor their services are elsewhere.

    There’s a fair bit of chance that they’ll reply to my comment here immediately, but if you’re a prospective Tata Docomo customer, choose not to be impressed by this. Tata Docomo has people surfing the web all the time, commenting on posts etc. but they’re not even 0.1% effective. It’s all marketing and a scheme to rip people off.

    And I’m not going to let this go. I’ll file a complaint in the consumer court soon for harassment.

    Here deduction is made for services which I have not requested nor availed. On calling customer care at 121 no help is received in resolving the problem and it is a frustrating experience talking to the phone executives. Complaint no is 221429.
    On reading the other posts I have now realised that customer care executives at your 121 number are not upto the mark and do not provide basic information / services to the cutomers and feel it is far far away from the “award winning services” which is claimed above.

      • I got a mail from after the complaint (complaint number is GBL094656486) on 7/12/2010 and indicating that a customer service representative will contact and resolve the problem. I am yet to hear anything and the complaint is unresolved even after 2 days.
        Hope this is meeting your internal customer resolution mechanism.

    On 10-Nov’10 at 1.16pm i recharged for Rs.201/- which includes the
    following:

    – talk time value rs110.
    – tata docomo to docomo 1p/6s.
    – docomo to others 2p/3s.
    – free internet browsing.
    – 500 local and national sms/day.
    – validity 30 days.

    I got a message from Tata Docomo as: “Hi! Recharge of Rs.201.0 is
    successful,current balance is Rs0,TransID:100000364352199.”

    So what’s my problem is, still now i had not received the values of that
    recharge. No talktime received,no sms option,no browsing features.

    I called customer care ON 10th Nov’10,but they are not properly responding about this
    problem. Moreover i cant call & speak with customer care for more than three
    times.

    Am very very serious in this issue due to the irresponsible talk of the
    customer care people. I will not leave this issue.

    Today(11th Nov’10) i called the customer care people, they said that the plan is changed
    to Rs.203/-,so u can give additional 2rupees to the retailer and you can
    recharge it for Rs.203/- to get that plan features. But in the retailer
    shop,the retailer is not accepting. Because he cant reclaim Rs.201/-. So he
    is not accepting this problem.

    Then i called Customer care again,they simply attended my call and cut it
    for twice. So i cant speak to them since i crossed 3times. so am mailing
    you.

    Whether you are recording the calls or not, i recorded every conversation
    with the customer care people. I had every proofs to show the irresponsible
    speech shown by the customer care idiotic people.

    They changed my job to call customer care people every day. I am sending
    this mail to your senior people also.

    Do you know the meaning for Customer Care & Customer Satisfaction?

    I need the worth of Rs.201/- recharge. I dont know what you do.
    So please deal this problem as early as possible.

    My outgoing calls have been blocked on 16th sept 2010.When i called 121 they told me that they wan’t documents for address proof and all….But i have already submitted all the documents from where i purchased this sim 1 month back.

    Even if they wanted the documents for verification again, they should have given me a call before barring my outgoing calls.But i came to know about this at 11.30 pm when i was trying to call.I was not given any time to resubmit the documents.

I have also suggested many of my friends also to take TATA DOCOMO service especially to students for internet but they are also now facing same problem and criticizing me that i have suggested them wrong product. Many time i have talked to customer care also but they have only one answer our engineer are working on this problem. I am surprise that TATA DOCOMO is having such a qualified engineers that they are working for 3 months and customers are not getting any satisfaction. My question is can i hope for better service in next coming days or should i forgot this service and find some another service. I am running after the person to help to whom i have recommended to take TATA DOCOMO service without any salary but your engineers are getting salary to give satisfactory to customer can they run to improve service ?     Tata Docomo team = “Bunch of losers”

    Why am I saying this. My part of the story as follows:

    1) Total top-up / recharge rs 100 (rs 50×2). Balance after over 1 month rs 23.
    Why? Unable to make any out going calls. “Network busy” not a single
    call gets connected let alone Land line or mobiles even 121 does not connect.

    2) If by chance the call gets connected it drops in 10 to 20 sec.

    3) Sometimes I am lucky, the call gets connected and in the middle of the call I get call charges message / balance message.

    4) I useing internet on WORST tata docomo no 8950063210 but it does not connected with my pc or my mobile.

    5) CC says ” jayda logo k internet use krne se ye problem hai 4 hr. mai sai ho jaygi. Abhi is k liye server bdye jaa rahe hai.” 2 months se gadho k 4 hr. pure nahi hue .

    All in all Tata Docomo is in a very very bad experience.

    My suggestion to all out there, do not get carried away with 1p / per sec.
    Its pure BS. As it makes no sense when one cannot make any out going calls.

    I have lost all hopes on this worst company.

    on 17june 2010, i purchased a docomo sim from the tata office(in nagpur)…i had already submitted al d required documents..bt due to the faulty services of the agent, who manages the documentation work, my sim was blocked on 18 july 2010… n after much hue n cry services were resumed (i guess) on 23 or 24 july… bt in d due coarse i lost al my main account balance i.e Rs.192/-(as cross-checked from the database)..n hit-herto i haven’t retained that balance..
    kindly look into this matter and take appropriate steps ASAP….

Docomo is the worst network in gujarat.every 5 minutes it shows “updating sim” then for next 10 minutes there will be no network.As for gprs I m getting speed of 0.56 to 1.23 kbps!!!!yes dats true and even that speed is not constant.I can not even download 100 kb file in whole day since i have activate docomo gprs 48rs plan.And last customer care is just in the name sake.my problem is not solved nor i m given any satisfactory answer.so think before u buy new docomo sim in gujarat ahmedabad i m planing to throw away mine.

Dear All the reader of this article… this is the worst telecom company i came in contact with, i will never suggest anyone to get this connection… Am a residence of West Bengal and using the number 09038664298, i am transfered from my company to Jamshedpur on reaching there i dont want to change my number hence i talk to the customer care executive in the number 121. They guided me to go manual operator setting and select either IND027, IND025, Aircel or TATA DOCOMO service, i found TATA DOCOMO and selected the same. but to my surprise i am not able to make calls even am not being able to receive call in this number even it is showing msg “no network coverage”…. from the same hand set with the help of local number i called up the customer care executive day before yesterday that was Mr Bapi, on hearing my problem he disconnected my call, again i called up the customer care executive this time some one Mr Hussain pick up the call he assured me to get me connect to his senior but he kept me on hold for half an hour and than i disconnected the call. i once again called up the customer care no this time again Mr Hussain who said that he is not the one i talk to earlier once again i had to explain my prob but he disconnected the call saying the i need to cooperate. Once again i called up this time it was Mr Mukesh who said that he is not being able to resolve my prob and the seniors are not in office hence he will not be able to resolve my prob but he agree to take my conplain but again he didnt bcoz as per company policy i need to make call from the number am having prob ( is not its silly ). anyhow my issue didnt get resolve i was busy yesterday, hence i called up today and this time Nazmin pick my call who said that she cant take the complian as the system is not working again i called and Piyali picks my call and assured me to get connected to his seniors but am still on hold for about 20 mins.

    Am not sure weather my prob will be answer by this company… there is good balance in my number and am not sure what to do next…. i think better to go for legal action against this company

  262. hello my name is krishnanunni.I am studying in Pondicherry University.On 13/02/2010 i have top uped for rs.150 (flexy) at night approximately between 07.00 pm and 08.00 pm.Only once i made a call not more than 2 minuts.On 14/02/2010 early morning i went to Chennai for UPSC exam.Since mobile is not allowed i switched off my mobile by morning 09.00am and switched on by 05.00pm by the time my exam completed.When i tried to call it has shown that only 38 paisa is my balance.surprised by this i contacted the customer care.I got the reply that it has been recorded that i was using net by 10.30 am.In my phone i haven’t activated browsing facilities.It is not there in my phone.Also my phone was switched off and i have my hall ticket and attendance list as proof.I never expected such an act from your side.Also i am not satisfied with your customer care executives.I have spoken with ms.jayanthi and she was not ready to make the things clear to me.She was in a hurry to cut the call.I feel that i have been decieved by your service.I tried to speak to the other higher ups but nobody took the phone.MY NO IS 9043707773.I would like to register a complaint with regard to this and to get the problem solved.Also i am thinking of disconnect your services.Hope you would reply soon.

  296. I have purchased a SIM Card from Srivari Stores at Kilpauk Garden, Chennai 10 and the same was inserted my mobile on yesterday i.e. 3.9.2009.     Hence I informed you that you can correct the line and tower immediately otherwise I will be put to forced to go consumer court since I am the first person to file the case against you under ‘CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT” and also I am sending a letter to all the authorities and leading news papers for the wrongful gain and cheating of yourself to the innocent public.
