PChat is a free and open source IRC Client, forked from XChat. PChat is available for Windows and Linux Platforms, iPod, USB flash drive, portable hard drive, CD or any other portable media.
It allows you to join multiple IRC channels (chat rooms) at the same time, talk publicly, private one-on-one conversations etc. Even file transfers are possible.
