Oracle To Open Centre in Technopark, Kerala

Oracle, American multinational computer technology corporation, is set to start its Kerala operations at the Leela Infopark in the Technopark campus in Trivandrum. It is going to lease 40,000 sft of space to commence their operations by September this year.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Kerala chief minister VS Achuthanandan by Oracle vice president (real estate and facilities) Jayaraman, Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander, and Leela Infopark executive director Venu Krishnan. Kerala IT secretary K Suresh Kumar was also present.

Oracle, which currently employs about 28,000 IT professionals India, has a big presence in Bangalore. Thiruvananthapuram is their first venture in the tier-II cities. The company has already initiated a recruitment drive and training is expected to commence in Technopark by June.

Before the new facility is fully functional in Leela Infopark, the company will be functioning out of a 3,000 sft office at Park Centre, Technopark.[source]
