Oracle has announced Oracle JDeveloper 11g Release 2 for providing complete, open and integrated tools for Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE), SOA and Web 2.0 application development. Oracle JDeveloper is a free integrated development environment that simplifies the development of Java-based SOA applications and user interfaces with support for the full development life cycle.
It enhances the overall development experience by delivering an improved Integrated Development Environment (IDE), including support for new technologies and standards, as well as updates to Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) 11g.
Within JDeveloper, as well as the framework, there is support for new JavaServer Faces 2.0 and Facelets standards; and within ADF, there are about 170 new JavaServer Faces Rich Client Components. There is also support for a new ADF Faces skin editor which makes user interface customization simpler with a visual CSS editor.[source]
