The OneTouch Net is the new Tata Docomo co-branded mobile phone by the telecom equipment maker Alcatel, announced a month ago. It is priced at Rs 5,499 and available for both postpaid and prepaid mobile services of Tata Docomo. The handset offers one-touch access to Yahoo! services and Tata Docomo’s ‘Dive In‘ portal. Yahoo!’s services are pre-loaded into the device, enabling consumers to use it with the click of a button.
This is first-of-its kind alliance between a telecom service provider, a device manufacturer and an Internet company on a handset platform—to create a device.
The OneTouch Net phone is coming with a full QWERTY Keypad, Dedicated one-touch keys to Yahoo! homepage and Tata DOCOMO Dive-In, optical trackpad for navigation, communication, and internet services, 2.4-inch display, Internal memory of 80MB which is expandable upto 8GB, Opera mini web browser, 2MP camera,webcam, MP3 player, FM radio, bluetooth 2.0 technology, and lot more. It is available in white-lavender color combination and black-silver color combination.
Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Messenger will be lifetime-free for all subscribers on the Tata Docomo network, subscribers visiting the ‘Dive In’ portal will be able to enjoy differentiated services. The OneTouch Net will also provide easy access to Tata Docomo services like My Song, Call Me Tunes, Buddy Chat, My Talkies, Astro Portal, Funzone, Song Book and much more, through customized keys on the OneTouch Net handset.
