F-Secure Easy Clean is a free stand-alone antivirus tool that detects and removes malware which your main security package might have missed. If you believe your system might have been infected by something unpleasant, but your regular antivirus package hasn’t raised an alert, then F-Secure Easy Clean may be able to help. Download the program, close all other running applications (including your current antivirus tool, if you can), and run Easy Clean. If your system may be infected then anything which has a chance of helping will probably be welcome. And so it’s probably worth keeping a copy of Easy Clean to hand, just in case you’re ever hit by a malware emergency.
