Android mobile operating system is all set to over take Nokia’s Symbian mobile OS. “There are over 300,000 Android phones activated each day,” according to Andrew Rubin, the head of Google’s Android business.
Android still trailed Symbian globally in the July-September quarter, but it was ahead of iPhone OS and Blackberry OS. HTC Corp, Motorola and Samsung sold a combined daily average of 218,000 Android phones, and Symbian sold roughly 325,000 smartphones a day in the same period, according to research firm Canalys. [via]
