Telecom major Bharti Airtel commenced 3G services in Jammu and Kashmir, starting with the summer capital Srinagar. With this, Airtel becomes the third private company to launch the 3G service in the valley after Reliance and Aircel.
Powered by 160 sites in Srinagar alone, Airtel 3G services will gradually be launched across the state in weeks to come. With the launch of 3G service, customers in Kashmir will now be able to join the 3,000,000 plus Airtel customers across the country who are already accessing a host of unique 3G enabled services.
Airtel 3G delivers services such as fast Mobile Internet Access, Airtel Mobile TV, Video calls, Social Networking on-the-go, video streaming and Multi-Player Gaming. Eight Airtel 3G experience zones have been positioned across all major locations in the city.
Airtel believes that it’s 3G would lead the data and internet revolution in the state. The company has also introduced a first-of-its-kind ‘Internet Usage Calculator‘ available online to help customers analyse their current internet data usage and choose an Airtel 3G Plan accordingly.
