Samsung launches Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS, the successors to the bestselling Samsung Star series, enhanced by ChatON, a cross-platform social networking messenger service. Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS are both touch phones with built-in music player, 3” QVGA screen, 3.2MP camera, embedded WiFi 802.11. Star 3 DUOS is a dual SIM phone. Both Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS look alike, except there is DUOS logo below the screen on Star 3 DUOS.
Beginning in late January, these devices will be available in Russia and then gradually rolled out in CIS, Europe, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia, Southwest Asia.

ChatON communication service enables sign-in without ID or PW to send personalized multimedia messages, group chat, buddy management. Push IM via ChatON, various Instant Messaging services with MSN, Yahoo!, and Google Talk, natively integrated Facebook, Twitter and push emails keep users entertained and connected – anytime, anywhere.
Meanwhile, the Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS promise a rich multimedia experience, with a full array of entertainment options available despite the location. A built-in music player enables users to access and play their favorite music titles from a single device. The device’s 3” QVGA screen provides immersive display of rich media and webpages, while a 3.2MP camera allows one to capture his or her priceless life moments in a few simple steps while on the move. Additionally, embedded WiFi 802.11 functionality offers fast speeds for easy web browsing and content downloading.
The Star 3 DUOS features all the rich functionality of the Star 3 in addition to a unique Dual SIM system that maximizes communication flexibility, allowing two separate phone numbers in a single device.
