Next month onwards, KSEB consumers can lodge complaints through SMS, when power supply is disrupted. The KSEB is planning to introduce SMS facility for its consumers. A unique ten-digit number will be finalised next week for messaging the complaints from all over the state.
The project is being executed by the IT wing of the KSEB. Though initially the KSEB decided to use the number provided by Kerala State IT Mission, this was cancelled owing to technical reasons.
According to the project, the complaint sent by a consumer from any district of the state will be received in the KSEB server in Thiruvananthapuram. Once the complaint is registered, a docket number will be sent to the consumer.
[advt]The complaint will then be automatically forwarded to the corresponding KSEB section office, alerting them to rectify the problems immediately.
So, as per the new system, the head office will alert the KSEB section office when a complaint is lodged.
Angus Sudley Cardoza, Director of IT wing of the KSEB said:
“We decided to execute the project after receiving several complaints from various parts of the state that the KSEB employees of the offices concerned did not attend their calls when the power supply was disrupted,” said Cardoza.
