Rediff.com India Limited introduced its group deals service, named Rediff Deal Ho Jaye!, offering consumers an opportunity to discover new local services at discounted prices.
As rediff have roots in e-commerce in India and online media, ther are having an audience of more than 15 million unique visitors per month which help Rediff.com to offer advertisers the ability to reach consumers in 40 cities throughout India. The service also enables consumers to learn about exciting things to do in their cities, to try out services that they haven’t tried before at significant discounts and to stay informed of new deals.
Rediff.com Deal Ho Jaye! offers will come from local merchants in each city. Consumers will be able to track upcoming promotions by subscribing to the Deal Ho Jaye! email newsletter or by SMS.
The service, essentially, offers consumers local services in about 40 cities across India at discounts that range from 30 per cent to 60 per cent on any deals that they avail of.

How the deal works?
- Buy a deal. Pay only advance by Cash on Delivery, Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking
- Get your Coupon delivered by Post, E-mail and SMS
- Show your Coupon to the merchant and pay the remaining amount
- Enjoy the deal!
Customers buying a deal will have to make an advance part-payment to Rediff.Deal Ho Jaye! and the rest of the deal amount to the merchant. On paying the advance amount, customers will get a coupon either in their mailbox or a coupon code on their mobile which will have to be shown to the merchant and make the remaining payment.
For those who want to make offline payments, cash-on-delivery facility is also available, Balakrishnan said.
Every deal, however, comes with a time limit during which a particular service has to be availed. Customers can also cancel the deal before the validity expires or can call the customer service in case of any issues.
