
Vodafone launched self service recharge facility through its existing network of kiosks for its prepaid customers across Chennai and Tamil Nadu. Recharge options for customers are available in various denominations starting from Rs 10.
Reliance Communications offers unlimited talk-time to its pre-paid CDMA customers in “Simply Unlimited CDMA” plan which has two packs offering unlimited talk-time. The local pack gives unlimited local calls to any Reliance customer at a monthly recharge of Rs 299 and long-distance calls charged at 50 paise per minute. The national pack gives unlimited calls to any Reliance phone in India (GSM, CDMA or fixed line), local or national, for a monthly recharge of Rs 599.
Uninor introduced two Special Tariff Vouchers (STV), providing talk value of 10,000 minutes on a recharge of Rs 199 and 1000 minutes on a recharge of Rs 32, with a valid period of 30 days. This is less than 2 paisa per minutes effectively.
