You can send FREE SMS to BSNL Mobiles (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd) all over India using the form provided in Mobile section of Ananthapuri.com, provided in association with smsjunction.
The BSNL user (receiver of the SMS) should be subscribed to UMS (Unified Messaging Service) of BSNL.
One of the tack.in reader reports that, the UMS is not working currently. Do you have any updates?

if bsnl introduces any message scheme like reliance and airtel then it becomes excellent otherwise it will remain backward and willl not be able to catch the attraction of consumers
