Nokia unveiled the Nokia E72 mobile device in India at MRP of Rs. 16599 only.

With the Nokia E72, accessing popular email accounts such as Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail, Ovi Mail and thousands of other email service providers is simple through improved on-device email setup, with the same easy to use UI integrating all of the owner’s corporate email accounts as well. The Nokia E72 comes with separate profiles for work and play which allows people to be flexible when it comes to choosing how, when, where and who to respond to.

Sporting a 2.3 inch TFT display screen, with the ability to display up to 16 million colours, images are displayed with very good clarity and vibrancy of colour. The screen operates at a pixel screen size of 320 x 240 pixels and comes with an accelerometer sensor as standard.

Nokia’s latest full QWERTY smartphone brings a rich mobile email experience right out of the box, making it the ideal device for people who want to be productive in both their personal and professional lives.

It has a 5 megapixel camera (2592 x 1944 pixels) with autofocus and flash, with 5x digital zoom and LED flash.

The handset offers various connectivity options, which include the ability to access the internet via its HSDPA and Wi-Fi connections. GPRS, EGSM, WCDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA, WLAN, Bluetooth 2.0 are supported. The E72 device supports IMAP4, Nokia Messaging, Microsoft ActiveSync, POP3 and SMTP email protocols.

The office capabilities have been updated with a new version of Quickoffice, which delivers Microsoft Office 2007 compatibility as well as free version upgrades when new features become available.

The phone utilises the ARM 11 600 MHz processor as its central processing unit and the Symbian 9.3 operating system. The handset comes with 250 MB of internal memory with the ability to hot swap utilising the 8GB microSD card slot up to a maximum of 16 GB.

Entertainment is provided by the MP4/MP3 player as well as a stereo FM radio with RDS capabilities, which also comes with a function known as visual radio. In addition a document editor, flashlight, organiser, digital compass and printing capabilities are also all included within this phone.

Impressive quality imagery can be taken with this camera due to the fact it offers a 5.0 megapixel camera which includes auto focus and an LED flash for illumination purposes.
