I bought a new notebook 2 weeks back. Though I am a fan of Sony (Digicam, Handycam and Home Theater System), this time I went for Compaq, mainly because I wanted a lighter and smaller notebook to carry with me wherever I go. (“Wherever you go, I am in your backpack!”) The notebook costs 51k rupees.

Display – 12.1″ Widescreen
Weight – 1.65kg with weight saver option, and less than 2kg total weight
Misc – 1GB RAM, DVD Writer, 80GB Hard Disk, Wireless and Bluetooth
I guess Lenovo would have been a good option if size didn’t matter. It has built-in web cam, face recognition, etc., but the screen size was 15″.
