Motorola’s new streaming technology allows you to stream home television contents to your portable media devices such as smartphones and tablets in home. The product which combines set top box and cell phone technology can stream videos to your portable device, so you can watch television and movies while walking around your home.
Daniel Moloney, President of Motorola Mobility, while announcing the product at the Reuters Global Summit said that the streaming gadget is the convergence of set-top box and cellphone technology which allow customers to view content anywhere on different devices.
Initially, the product will be streaming videos only to devices around your home. This is due to the legal issues associated with carrying content outside your home, which will be feasible only after reaching agreements with the programming content providers, said Moloney.
