Microsoft Office Live Workspace Beta, The online companion to Microsoft Office is now available for pre-register. Office Live Workspace beta will initially be available in English to a limited number of people. Pre-register now to be one of the first to try it when your workspace will be ready.
The workspace is an online place where you can store, access, and share documents and files. Use it to group related information for work, school, or personal projects. Sharing is easy – all you need is a person’s e-mail address and you can invite them to your workspace. You decide if they can edit or simply review. You can upload many file types, from Microsoft Office documents to pictures and PDFs, except those files that could cause security issues such as .exe files. You can access your workspace from any computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser.
Microsoft Office Live Workspace works With Microsoft Office – Open and save files directly from Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and synchronize contact, task, and event lists with Outlook. You can store 1000+ Microsoft Office documents in one place, access them from almost any computer with a Web browser. You can also share documents with others by invite people to your workspace and control who can view, comment, and edit your documents. Moreover, Microsoft Office Live Workspace is Free.
Office Live Workspace works with the most commonly used browsers, including Internet Explorer 6.0 or later and Firefox 2.0. No downloads are required; there’s nothing to install; just sign up and go. All you need is an Internet connection and a Web browser. For a better experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, there will be an Office Live Add-in available for the Microsoft Office suite.
