For those who are finding it difficult to track problems occurring with your Microsoft Windows, Microsoft’s Diagnosis tool Fix it is there to help you. Fix it is available as a client software which can be installed in your system and is also available as an online diagnosis facility.
The client version of Fix it can run diagnostics for about 300 common problems found in Windows OS. On running Fix it, you will be shown a list of things to examine, from which you can select your PC’s problem. Troubleshooting starts once you click on the provided Run button.
Supported operating systems include Windows XP SP3, Windows XP Pro (64 bit) SP2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R 2. You can view the step by step procedure on installing Fix from here
Microsoft also have an online version of Fix it. The online version allows you to select your problem area from any of the categories namely Windows, Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, Xbox & Zune, Office and Server & Enterprise. The online tool also works almost the same as its client version.
