iBall, the computer peripherals maker entered the Indian mobile handset business with seven categories of mobile phones, produced under its first phase of mobile manufacturing. The seven models made available are Shaan, Flip, Senior, Waterproof, Posh, Sleec and Touch.
Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director of Best IT World (India) which makes iBall products, said that the three attributes of all iBall products – design, aesthetics and innovation will be incorporated in their mobile phones also, in a highly cost-efficient manner.
The different categories of iBall mobiles include mobile meant for Senior citizens and a waterproof model. Senior Citizen mobile will have features such as larger fonts, amber color, enhanced sound, and SOS button, which on pressing for seven seconds will alert surrounding persons with a siren, indicating that the person needs immediate attention. The button also sends SMS to pre-defined 5 numbers one after another till one of them responds back.
iBall will be launching mobiles in over 400 cities with 500+ distributors across the country. iBall has 23 branch offices across the country with over 100 self owned service centres for providing better customer support.
“iBall will be the first brand in Indian mobile phone market to come out with a very clear cut strategy for mobile phones. Through this segmented strategy the brand will be looking at different segment demographics, consumer preferences, specialized requirements.”, said Parasrampuria.
