Google SketchUp is the new 3D modeling program with a few simple tools to enable you to create 3D models for your day to day needs like 3D models of houses, home additions, etc.. SketchUp has a feature called 3D Warehouse that lets you search, share, download and store 3D models. The models include buildings, houses, bridges, statues, sculptures, couches, cars, people, pets, and much more. If the model has a location on earth, for example, Taj Mahal, you can also download it and view it in Google Earth.
@Last Software, the SketchUp company, based in Boulder, Colorado, has been bought by Google in March 2006. Now they have made the Google SketchUp available for free, making their dream of “3D for Everyone” come true.
