Find My iPhone helps you secure your existing iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. To locate your device, you should have installed the application in your iPhone/iPad/iTouch device before it gets lost. For added security, the app will automatically sign you out after 15 minutes. You can also manually sign out at any time.
Once your device gets lost, you can find it from another iOS device running the Find My iPhone application.
You will be required to sign in to Find My iPhone app and then you can find your device on a map, lock your device with a passcode, display a message in your device with optional sound playing for two minutes at full volume, or you can remotely wipe all personal data from your device.
The application is free for iPhone 4, iPad and 4th generation iPod running iOS 4.2. You can use Find My iPhone with a paid MobileMe subscription.
