If you are a VISA Gold or Platinum cardholder, you can request for MasterCard by paying the annual fees.

If you are otherwise eligible also, you can request for MasterCard by paying the annual fees and returning your existing card. If you want retain your existing card, the annual fees will be Rs 250.

Federal Bank ATMs will also accept Master Card variants – MasterCard, Maestro and Cirrus.

Special Offer

Federal Bank is offering waiver of fuel surcharge for fuel transactions done through all types of debit cards for a period of 6 months (from 1st October 2010 to 31st March 2011).

The offer is available on purchase of fuel from any petrol pump in any city across the country. Previously fuel purchases from petrol pumps using debit/credit cards were charged  2.5 per cent surcharge.[source]
