BSNL launched Yuva Rajasthan Education prepaid scheme / plan which is focused towards promotion of education and targeted towards students and faculties of all the educational institutions. The plan will facilitate dissemination of IT enabled content and among students, research scholars and faculties of educational institutions of all India at an affordable price. It shall further encourage interaction amongst students and faculties enabling overall environment of education in Rajasthan boosting image of BSNL as a socially responsible corporate. The tariff plan is designed with special emphasis for data and SMS which are of specific interest for students and education community.
This plan shall make 3G service affordable and within reach of student community which otherwise was thought of elite class service till recently. The plan shall be available at an expenditure of Rs. 102 per month only with 300 SMS along with a talk value of Rs. 50 and 50 MB data download free. Any student or faculties of school, academic colleges or professional colleges and universities / Board can participate /subscribe this plan. Multilayer close user groups (College level / University or Board level / All University / Board level of Home State ) have been envisaged in this plan with differential charging in each level of the group and the members of plan shall be able to make video calls in layered group at cheap and differential charging.
This prepaid plan has free voice calls within College / institute and reduced voice call rate 10 paisa per minute within University and 30 paisa per minute to the students/faculty of any university / Boards opting for this plan in Home state. Also the video call rate is very attractive @ 10 paisa per minute within college / institute, @30 paisa per minute within University / Board and @70 paisa per minute for all other calls.
The other important feature of this plan is unlimited data down load from the websites of participating educational institutions / Universities. The list of such websites shall be updated regularly on addition of students / faculties from new university/Board. For this, purpose, a special APN has been created in the name ofbsnledu and data downloads through this APN from the websites of these universities / Board shall be free.Those, who want to download additional data at 3G data speed, can down load the same by using 3G standard data plan STV.
Approximately 73 percent saving in overall bill for students / faculties is expected with the introduction of this plan with the present pattern of usage of student / education community.
Any student of any school /college /university can avail this facility anywhere in India.
