Acer ICONIA – World’s Most Advanced Touchbook

Acer introduces ICONIA is the world’s most advanced touchbook. It has got Dual screens and Full touch interface.

It is constructed out of a pair of 14 inches (36 cm) LCD screens, attached with a hinge in the manner of a traditional laptop, but with the keyboard replaced with one of the screens. The device weighs 6.1 pounds (2.8 kg) and is equipped with both Windows 7 and a propietary Acer operating system for the touchscreen interface.

The Iconia is also to operate Acer programs for accessing multimedia and other content, including Alive, a program for downloading content such as music, videos and application, and Clear. Fi, designed to enable content to be shared among multiple devices over the internet.

The device will be equipped with either a 640GB or 740GB hard drive, and will have 4GB of RAM. Its processor will be an Intel Core i5 unit. There will be two USB 2.0 ports, a single USB 3.0 port, and an HDMI-out port. A 1.3 megapixel webcam and Bluetooth connectivity will also be standard.[advt]
