Mercury has launched the mTab Rio 9.7-inch Android Ice Cream Sandwich tablet in India for Rs. 11,999. mTab Rio is powered by a 1.2GHz processor, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 8GB internal storage and supports SD card for expanding the memory upto 32GB. The tablet features 2 megapixel rear camera and 0.3 megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G support via a USB dongle and HDMI output. It has a battery backup of about 6-8 hours for continuous entertainment.
