Samsung launched Hope for Children globally to bring attention to the worldwide need for childhood education and healthcare. The program advocates on the behalf of children by providing our products, knowledge and employee volunteer service—and Samsung success will be measured by the number of lives Samsung touch.
Focus on Children’s Education and Health
Samsung Hope for Children focuses on the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children in world communities. A widening educational gap and health issues put these children at a disadvantage compared to their peers. Samsung’s expertise, technology and resources can help ensure that these children—and children everywhere— have access to educational opportunities and receive necessary healthcare.
Integrating Our Products and Technology
Samsung Hope for Children is unique among social contribution programs in how it leverages Samsung ‘s leader-ship in technology and innovation. The program gives children and other beneficiaries—such as teachers, doctors and hospital staff—the chance to learn, use or receive treatment with at least one Samsung product.
Expanding to 55 Countries by 2013
Samsung Electronics will expand Samsung Hope for Children to 55 countries by 2013, including India, Kenya, Iran, Germany and Russia. Each program will uniquely address the needs of individual communities while emphasizing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education and IT technical training.
