Do you know that Google Earth latest version (4.2) has an inbuilt Flight Simulator feature in it? Yes it does. To enter the flight simulator mode in Google Earth, press Ctrl + Alt + A. Once you have entered flight simulator mode for the first time, you can re-enter the mode by choosing Tools > Enter Flight Simulator.
Google provides Joystick and mouse support as well as keystrokes control navigation. To disable or enable mouse controls, left click on the simulator. Once mouse controls are active, the pointer shape changes to a cross on your screen. To take off, get a quick start by holding Page Up for a few seconds to increase to maximum thrust. Once you’ve accelerated to a sufficient velocity use the arrow keys to take-off. See more keystroke controls.
You can select from a list of airports and play this. It takes sometime to get used to the keystroke controls. My first few trials just crashed the plane!
