Anyplace Control is a secure and very easy to use remote access software that allows you to administer and control remote computers from anywhere. This program allows you to remote control PCs securely, virtually in real time as if you are physically in the front of them.
Accessing your PC remotely works in a few very simple steps and does not require any complex setup or expert network configuration whatsoever. You simply create an account with Anyplace Control, and assign a name to your computer. When you need to access your machine from a remote location, you simply enter your computer name into the small and lightweight client application, and Anyplace Control manages the rest. No need to configure network settings on the remote PC, and no need to worry about firewalls, routers and other obstacles.
With Anyplace Control you can see your computer’s desktop and control your PC with keyboard and mouse as if you were there, or use Drag and Drop operations to copy files between your local and remote computers. Anyplace Control uses state of the art encryption and the latest security approaches to protect your home computer from remote attacks. Finally, Anyplace Control saves network bandwidth by consuming minimum traffic, allowing the fastest response times even on slower connections.

- Remote Desktop Control & Remote Monitoring: The program displays the remote PC’s desktop on the screen of your local PC, and allows you to control that computer remotely using your own mouse and keyboard. The remote connection could be established on LAN, WAN or over the Internet. Some of the popular applications of the software include the remote control support as part of the corporate Helpdesk support environment or simply working from home by accessing the office computer remotely.
- PC to PC File Transfer Software: Anyplace Control allows you to easily transfer files between the local and remote computers. The interface of the File Transfer engine is similar to Windows Explorer’s interface. Anyplace Control File Transfer window, like Windows Explorer, contains two panels; local that displays local files, and remote that displays remote files. You can drag and drop files and folders between both panels of the Host and Admin PCs. All files and auxiliary commands are encrypted before being transferred.
- No need to configure remote Router or Firewall for remote access: You can connect to remote desktop in two different ways. A Direct Connection can be established by using the remote IP address. An optional Online Account Connection is available via a friendly web-based interface. Online Account Connection mode provides web remote access over the Internet to the remote computers that may not have external static IP addresses. You can easily connect to remote desktop with internal (192.168.x.x) or dynamic IP address without any additional network configurations. Using the Online Account Connection, you can easily connect to remote computer over the Internet even if it is located behind the router, firewall or proxy. There will be no need to configure remote router or open Firewall ports.
- Very Simple to Use: The interface of Anyplace Control is designed to provide a maximum convenience, and be user-friendly. You can connect to a remote desktop just in a few clicks of the mouse. Anyplace Control can be set up and used by anyone: simply click and download remote desktop software. No advanced computer skills are required. If the standard installation of a Host module becomes challenging then the remote user can manually download the Remote Desktop Access software from a special link that has a preconfigured Host module (it does not require installation or any additional configuration).
- Remote Power Management: Anyplace Control allows you to shutdown remote computer and restart remotely, disable a remote keyboard/mouse, turn off remote monitors in one click or log off the remote Windows users. You can even turn on computer remotely using sophisticated built-in Wake-On-LAN technology.
- Remote Deployment: You don’t have to approach each remote PC physically to install or update the user’s part (Host Module) of our software; you can do this remotely and automatically via LAN.
- Multiple Connections: The software supports multiple connections on both server and client sides. You can view several remote desktops on your screen simultaneously. Moreover, several users can view the same remote desktop on their monitors at the same time. It makes Anyplace Control very efficient for the network management and administration.
- Low Network Load: The program quickly compresses screen images and other large volumes of data before transmitting them. It saves your traffic and speeds up connection by much (in the case of low Internet bandwidth). Moreover, the program doesn’t send the entire screenshots over the network – it only sends the updated parts of the screen image. So, the network load put by the software is minimal. The software also allows using the low-color palette modes, which would even more speed up the program’s performance in slow networks.
Security Features:
- Secure authentication and traffic encryption: All data transferred via a vendor’s server or between Anyplace Control modules is safely encrypted. It is virtually impossible to decrypt this data. Anyplace Control uses the CHAP (Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol) protocol for authentication and a RC4 algorithm with 128 bit random key for encryption of data transferred into the network (screen picture, pointer move, keyboard signals, etc.).
- Double password protection: You have to know at least 2 passwords to connect to a remote PC via the Online Account. The first – the Online Account Password, which is used to enter the Online Account. It only allows to view the list of PCs previously added into Online Account, but doesn’t allow to connect with them. The second password (and most important one) is the Access Password that allows to connect to a Host computer.
- Your data privacy: Anyplace Control vendors do not store your passwords on their servers. In order to check the correctness of a password being entered, the server checks hash-meaning of the password (MD5) and the password is not used in public type.
- No need to open ports in the Firewall: To connect to a remote PC using the Account Connection service you don’t need to open additional ports in the firewall, thus, you don’t create back doors in your security system.
- Remote Access Alert: When using “Remote Access Alert” option of the Host Module, a pop-up window will appear and you will be notified if external connection has been initiated to connect to your Host PC. Moreover, user may set up the software to ask a permission for Administrator to connect. In case user denies an access, Administrator won’t be able to connect to user’s PC. This options helps user to protect a PC from unauthorized access. Furthermore, remote user may allow or deny Administrator to perform different actions on his/her PC like exchange files, using File Transfer option or transfer clipboard.
