goo.gl & fb.me URL shortener From Google and Facebook

Facebook and Google has come up with their own URL shortener services namely fb.me and goo.gl respectively. fb.me is now rolled out on a limited basis – to be used within facebook for sharing links within facebook and facebook mobile interface. You cannot use Google URL shortener to shorten links directly, because it is currently not provided as a stand-alone service. Currently it is only available from the Google Toolbar and FeedBurner. Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the authority for assigning domain names has approved the new address dot post (.post) for global postal services. The .post top level domain (TLD) name will be managed by the UN’s Universal Postal Union. The .post domains are expected to be online by the second half of 2010. A R Rahman has opened an online shop selling a few sound tracks of films like ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and ‘Elizabeth’ besides other scores.
