Sony Ericsson W8 is the first ever Walkman brand smartphone running Google Android 2.1 Eclair and sports 3.0″ capacitive touchscreen display. This Walkman Phone is powered by a 600 MHz ARM 11 processor along with an Adreno 200 GPU, part of the Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset coupled with 168 MB of in-built RAM.
Built-in storage of this device is 128 MB which can be further expanded upto 16GB with a microSD card.
Sony Ericsson W8 supports Walkman Music Player ported to Android, TrackID music recognition, and PlayNow technologies. At the back lies a 3.2 MP camera that would give mediocre quality photos along with Geo-tagging capability.
Being 3G Network compatible, Sony Ericsson W8 Android phone offers 23 hours and 40 Minutes worth of music listening time.
The phone is wirelessly connectible via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Apart from that, Sony Ericsson W8 offers Twitter and Facebook Integration in the Timescape UI.
This device is enabled with the features like External memory card slot, 3G (HSDPA-7.2 Mbps, HSUPA-2 Mbps), Universal 3.5 MM Audio Jack, microUSB port and much more.
The Walkman Phone will be available in three colours like Azure Blue, Metallic Red, and Iconic Orange and will launch in India soon.
