The Sony Ericsson Aino is a 3G touchscreen phone with the multimedia functions touch optimized. These include the camera, video player, music player, gallery and FM radio. You can pack the Aino phone full of your favorite music, photos, films and podcasts.
It has a stunning 3” TFT touch screen. The touch user interface provides truly intuitive navigation. It has a slide-out alphanumeric keypad. The touch menu for the media appears when the phone’s slider is closed.
The Sony Ericsson Aino comes with an 8.1 megapixel camera with an LED flash. It has various scene modes like portrait, twilight, sports, document, etc.. Focus options include automatic, face, macro and infinite. but does not have support for effects. The camera support picture sizes like 8 megapixel 4:3, 7 megapixel 3:2, 6 megapixel 16:9, 3 megapixel 4:3 and Full HD 16:9. The camera supports geo-tagging, self-timer and touch shutter.

The device comes with Facebook integration and once logged in, users can actually see their friends list on the home screen with their status updates. The touch menu works only on landscape mode.
Aino supports Windows 7 Device Stage and Media Go. Media Home feature lets you transfer your media files from PC-to-phone wirelessly and automatically via Media Go and Wi-Fi, just by drag and drop. Simply place Aino in the desk stand charger and the rest takes care of itself. Media Go automatically converts films and music files to give you the best possible quality. You can easily transfer your media files between your phone and PC.
Aino comes with Remote Play, which lets users stream content like pictures, music and videos from the Playstation3 to the phone. Apart from that the device comes with a number of apps like Bluetooth Robot, Accuwcather, YouTube, etc.

The Sony Ericsson Aino supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Aino has GPS with A-GPS support and comes with Wisepilot navigation software that enables voice-guided navigation while driving.
The video player shoots at VGA resolution at 30 frame per second and the clips are recorded in 3gp format. It also supports HD 16:9 and MMS resolutions. Video setting options include night mode, self timer and image stabilizer.
The Sony Ericsson Aino has a Walkman player 4.0, which also has a touch-optimized in landscape mode. Player settings include various skins, nine equalizer presets, manual setting and stereo widening. Songs can be sorted on the basis of artists and albums. The device has Sony Ericsson’s SenseMe feature.
The sales pack of the phone includes an 8 GB microSD card, Bluetooth wireless headset and a charging dock.
The front panel has the touchscreen and the loudspeaker. Sliding the front panel up reveals the control keys and the alphanumeric keypad. It has a circular D-pad. The charging/USB port is to the left. The volume rocker and the shutter release key is on the right. The back panel has the camera with LED flash. Aino has the phone lock key at the top and the microSD card slot under the battery cover. The wireless headset is shaped like a tube with translucent mirror in the middle and a black plastic rim around it. The headset comes with a 3.5 mm jack at the top. It also works as a FM antenna.
