Motorola A1600 Flip Phone – Touch, Camera, Card Reader, 4GB

Motorola A1600 is based on the Linux platform. It is a clamshell phone where the speaker is placed on the glass flap.This flap covers the 2.4″ touchscreen with 256K colors and supports handwriting and speech recognition. The back panel has a rubber coating and there is a stylus slot on the left top corner.

A1600 features a built-in GPS navigator and comes preloaded with apps like Yatra, Google search, Daily News and Business Card Reader. MotoNav is a GPS Navigation application which provides consumers of India with a lifetime free access to fully navigable maps and landmarks of 30 major cities of India, allowing Voice Guided Navigation across major National and state highways.

The BCR reads the Business Card with the camera. The phone has a 3.2 MP camera with flash and 8X digital zoom. Picture quality is satisfactory, but the video quality is great. The media player supports multiple formats and the sound quality of the external speaker is good. It also has FM radio.

It boasts of 27 MB of internal memory and comes with a 1 GB microSD card pre-installed with navigation charts powered by MapmyIndia (for India only). The phone supports expandable memory up to 4 GB.

It also offers Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and EDGE. The combination of Web – WAP service offers 350,000 easily downloadable, high-quality full songs, ringtones, music videos and wallpapers. There are three cricket games for sports fans.
