Multimedia features include a digital camera with digital zoom option along with video player. Maxx MX170 is equipped with in-built music player and FM radio that has recording facilities.

Since the mobile lacks an internal memory, it can extend its external memory with the use of a T-Flash Card. The handset has GPRS connectivity. By using the WAP Browser, the user can surf the internet.
