"Internet and IT in Modern World" @ Abraham Memorial School, Thirumala, Thiruvananthapuram

As part of Sanjeevani activities, we conducted a session on Computers, Internet and Information Technology in Modern World to a group of selected 9th standard students of Abraham Memorial Higher Secondary School, Thirumala, Thiruvananthapuram.

It was a 4 hour session for 20 students. In this discussion, I have connected to the Internet from my laptop through my Reliance cell phone (RConnect plan) and demonstrated some of India and Kerala government websites, railway reservation, BSNL NSD code lookup, etc..

We also demonstrated Google Earth and flew to Thiruvananthapuram, Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, Niagara Falls and Empire State Building in New York, Grand Canyon, etc.. The students really appreciated these.

We hope that this session helped the students to understand how information technology has changed our life and the latest trends in information technology.
